Water Is Leaking In From The Unit Upstairs. What Should I Do?
If water is actively coming through, call us and let your building or strata manager know at the same time. We stop the flow first by isolating the supply to the apartment above, then trace the source, which in a multi-storey building usually means following the riser or the stacked bathrooms upwards rather than cutting into your ceiling. Once we know whose pipe or fitting has failed, we tell both owners and the manager plainly, so the right party sorts out the repair.
Do You Deal With Strata & Building Managers In Glenelg?
All the time. In an apartment building, whether a pipe belongs to an owner or to the corporation depends on where the lot boundary sits on the building’s plan. We work with strata, community corporation and building managers to arrange access, agree who’s paying, and keep shut-offs to shared services as short as possible. You get a written note of what we found and where, which helps when the question goes to a committee.
Can You Fix Our Jetty Road Kitchen Without Closing Us For The Day?
We plan around service wherever the problem allows it. SA Water generally requires commercial food premises to pass their waste through a grease arrestor before it reaches the sewer, and a blocked arrestor line, floor waste or sink is the usual reason a kitchen stops. We can come in before opening or after close, clear the line with high-pressure water jetting, find what caused it and fix the plumbing so it stops happening. If it goes wrong in the middle of service, call and we’ll get someone there as fast as we can.
Can You Tell Me The Price Over The Phone?
Not from the office, and that’s deliberate. Our receptionist doesn’t have access to a price book, because their job is keeping the team on schedule, dispatching plumbers and looking after customers.
