Plumber Croydon SA
Licensed plumbers for Croydon homes, units and townhouses, plus local cafés, stores and businesses, with fixed onsite quotes and 24/7 help.
Croydon Plumbers Who Respect Older Homes & Busy Cafés
Hot water running lukewarm, a shower that drains slowly, a tap that knocks every time it shuts off. Small faults like these tend to grow, so we track down what is behind them and fix that, not just the symptom.
Ring us and we’ll book a time that suits you. If it can’t wait, we can typically be there within 60 minutes; if it can, we aim for a same day response. The plumber explains the cause, writes up a fixed quote with your options, and starts only once you agree.

The Way We Work in Croydon Homes & Shops
Adelaide Expert Plumbing began with co-owners Michael Heinrich and Colin Archer-Bourke, two mates and a van, and a belief that a plumber should be on time, straight with you and tidy. That belief built a team of six.
Croydon puts it to the test. Walls here are often bluestone, sandstone or red brick, ceilings are high, and gardens out the front have been growing for decades. So we plan the route before we cut anything, protect the floors, and put the garden back the way we found it. Every repair carries our Lifetime Workmanship Guarantee, and our 260+ five-star Google reviews come from homeowners who noticed that care.
The quote is fixed before a tool comes out. If you would like a word with us before booking, leave your details and the team will call you.
Plumbing for Croydon Homes & Local Shopfronts
Croydon is a small suburb, and most of its homes are freestanding houses protected by a Historic Area Overlay on each side of the Outer Harbor line. Walls are solid, front gardens are established, and the easy fix is not always the right one. Its businesses sit in two places: the Elizabeth Street shops and cafés beside the station, and the stores on Port Road.
General Plumbing
Worn washers, a sticking toilet button, a new garden tap on an old wall. We handle the everyday jobs in older Croydon homes without damaging original finishes.
Blocked Drains
In our experience the sewer line on these older blocks runs further under the front garden than owners expect. We clear blocked drains with high-pressure water jetting, from $79, T&C's Apply.
Hot Water Systems
When a system fails in a heritage house, where the new one goes matters as much as which one. We repair or replace it and keep it away from the street frontage where possible.
Emergency Plumbing, 24/7
A pipe letting go inside a solid wall, or a café drain overflowing before opening. We answer the phone at any hour and get the water under control first.
Taps & Toilets
Leaking taps, dripping cisterns and toilets that will not stop running, in family homes, in the Elizabeth Street shopfronts and in the amenities of the stores along Port Road.
CCTV Drain Inspections
Before anyone digs up a mature garden in front of an older Croydon home, a drain camera inspection shows where the line runs and where it has actually failed.
Pipe Relining
Where a camera shows cracked but intact pipe beneath a heritage garden or a low masonry front fence, relining repairs it from the inside and leaves the ground above undisturbed.
Leak Detection
Solid bluestone and brick walls have no cavity to hide a leak in, or to open up casually. We pinpoint the source of the leak first, then open the wall once.
Bathroom Renovations
Updating a bathroom in an older Croydon home means new plumbing behind a façade that stays as it is. We plan the pipe runs around high ceilings and solid walls.
What Croydon Homeowners & Café Owners Say
We work right across Croydon, from Day Terrace and the station through to William Street and the Torrens Road end. Customers from all over Adelaide have left us reviews. Read our customer reviews before you book.
On a horrible night, Aidan came out and did an amazing job. Following him, Michael and Mitch couldn’t have done more to sort out the problem. I would recommend them to anyone. The fees were very reasonable too. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Why Croydon Homeowners & Café Operators Choose Us
We could open with our 260+ five-star Google reviews, but what they say is fairly modest. The plumber was on time. The quoted price was the one on the bill. The house was left clean. People mention it because it keeps being true.
Croydon is where that kind of discipline pays off. An older home with solid masonry walls leaves nowhere to hide new pipework, so a careless repair shows for years. We find the fault before opening anything, keep new fittings out of sight of the street where we can, and give a Croydon homeowner the same fixed quote before work starts as the café or shop owner on Elizabeth Street.
Covering Croydon & the Suburbs Beside It
We work across all of Croydon, from the streets either side of the railway line to Elizabeth Street, Day Terrace and the Port Road frontage. Inside those edges that takes in Euston Terrace by the station, St Barnabas on William Street, Princes Street and the reserves beside the line. West Croydon begins at Ellen Street and Minnie Street and has its own station on Rosetta Street, so if you are near that edge, give us the street and we will place you. South Road is the whole eastern edge, and across it sits Ridleyton, where several businesses with Croydon on the sign actually trade. Brompton is a short way past Ridleyton rather than next door, with townhouses, older homes and a working stretch of Torrens Road.
Whichever side of those streets you are on, call 08 8152 9100 or book online and we will confirm the time.
Croydon Questions, From Stone-Walled Homes to Café Drains
Croydon questions tend to be about old houses and the rules around them, plus a few from the café kitchens by the station. Here are the six we get most often, with straight answers. If yours is different, ring 08 8152 9100 and ask.
Our Home Is In The Croydon Historic Area. Does That Change How You Plumb It?
It changes how we plan the job. Most of Croydon sits in a Historic Area Overlay, and under the Planning and Design Code, demolishing all or part of a building there needs development approval first. Ordinary repairs are rarely affected, but we keep new fittings such as a hot water unit or a vent away from the street frontage where we can, and we will tell you if a job looks like it needs a conversation with council before we start.
The Walls Are Solid Stone. How Do You Find A Leak Without Opening Them Up?
Carefully, and in stages. We isolate each water line, run pressure tests and take moisture readings across the wall and floor to narrow down where the water is coming from. Only then do we open up, in one spot, as small as the repair allows. In a house with bluestone or sandstone walls that approach saves you a lot of patching and matching later.
Can You Check The Drain Before We Dig Up An Old Front Garden?
Yes, and we recommend it. A camera through the line shows us where the pipe runs, how deep it is and exactly where it is blocked, cracked or full of roots. Older Croydon blocks often have established gardens and low masonry front fences, so knowing the exact spot means less disturbance. If the pipe is cracked but still in one piece, relining it from the inside may avoid digging altogether.
Do You Work In The Café Kitchens On Elizabeth Street?
We do plumbing for cafés and small food businesses, and the shops by Croydon station are old shopfronts with working kitchens in them. Grease and an older drain line are a common combination, so we clear the blockage and check how the line and any grease arrestor are coping. We can come before you open or after you close, and SA Water’s trade waste requirements are part of how we plan the job.
Can The Receptionist Tell Me What It Will Cost?
Not over the phone, and here is why. Every job gets an upfront quote before any work begins, but our receptionist does not have access to a price book, because their job is keeping the team on schedule, dispatching plumbers and looking after you. The plumber quotes on site, usually with a few options, so you can choose without feeling pressured.
What If It Can't Wait Until Tomorrow?
Call us. We are available 24/7, and for a real emergency we can typically be there within 60 minutes. For less urgent jobs we aim for a same day response. The plumber who arrives is insured, police-checked and carries a personal plumbing licence, separate from our business licence, PGE #360928, and plumbing licences in South Australia are overseen by Consumer and Business Services under the Plumbers, Gas Fitters and Electricians Act 1995 (SA).
