Hilton is a compact rectangle with Sir Donald Bradman Drive through the middle, and its edges are easy to read. South Road runs down the eastern side, and the addresses across it belong to Mile End north of the Drive and Mile End South below it. Davenport Terrace marks the southern edge with Richmond beyond it, while Bagot Avenue and Brooker Terrace divide Hilton from Cowandilla to the west. Within those edges we work every street, Burt Avenue, Formby Street and Ruddock Avenue included, along with Halifax, Talbot and Washington Streets.

Is My South Road Address In Hilton, Mile End Or Mile End South?
It depends which side of the road you are on, and which side of the Drive. Hilton runs along the western side of South Road between Darebin Street and Davenport Terrace. Across the road, the stretch north of Sir Donald Bradman Drive is Mile End and the stretch south of it is Mile End South. We work in all three, so the answer changes the address on the invoice, not who turns up.
Water Is Coming Through From The Unit Above. What Happens Next?
Turn off the water to your unit if you can reach the isolation valve, then call us. We trace where the water is actually coming from, which is often not directly overhead, and make the leak safe. Where the pipework is shared or runs through common property, the strata corporation or its manager usually needs to authorise the repair, so we give them a clear written description of what we found and nobody has to guess.
Are The Drains Under Hilton's Older Streets Likely To Be Original?
Some may be. Hilton’s streets were built up on small plots well before the area was connected to deep drainage, and many properties have been extended, subdivided or rebuilt since, so what runs under a house here is often several generations of pipe joined together, with no plan of the result. A camera inspection shows exactly what you have before anyone decides to dig, and you get the findings in writing.
